Learn about the Australian Warning System.
The Australian Warning System is a new national approach to information and warnings during emergencies like bushfire, flood, storm, extreme heat and severe weather.

Am I at risk?
It is useful to know whether you live in a high-risk area when you are planning for an emergency or disaster. Knowing this will help you work out what kind of plan you need to make.
Find disaster-affected Local Government Areas and download a profile of your Local Government Area with the Australia’s National Emergency Management Agency (called NEMA) tools.
Some local council websites include information and tools that tell you whether your home is in a flood zone or at high risk, especially in areas that have a lot of floods or bushfires.
Tip: To find your local council’s website, type the name of the suburb where you live and the words “local council” into your web browser.
